Joint Operation Removes 21 Untaxed, SORN and Abandoned Vehicles - Near You

Dear Resident,

On Sunday 11 October 2026, officers from the Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team worked alongside Bradford Council to remove a number of vehicles from Ariba Avenue, North Wing and Wapping Road, BD3.

The operation focused on vehicles that were untaxed, subject to a Statutory Off Road Notification (SORN), or believed to be abandoned. In total, 21 vehicles were removed, with some having remained in the area for a considerable number of years.

This action was undertaken following reports and concerns from local residents. We would like to thank members of the community who brought these issues to our attention.

West Yorkshire Police and Bradford Council remain committed to keeping our neighbourhoods clean, safe and free from nuisance vehicles. If you are aware of a vehicle that may be abandoned or parked illegally on a public road, please report it to the appropriate authority.

Kind regards,
